The fluidmaster universal fill valve, part #400A, did the trick. Stopped the constant toilet running issue. The old part was leaking water out the top. A had seal likely. Could hear water in toilet tank running always. I watched a video on youtube on how to change the fill valve before attempting. Glad I did. I didn't need to replace the ENTIRE fill valve. I was able to leave the old base tube on and just slip on the NEW upper portion. So took exactly two minutes. So for $8.00 I was able to fix what a plumber would charge $75is just for visit plus triple the cost of part.
Very easy to install yourself. So simple a caveman can do it.. works perfectly. Don't bother with more expensive versions. Its quiet, easy to install, and fills quickly and is easy to adjust tank water level.
