Large locknut jumps threads, will not tighten properly

This sink drain strainer developed a leak since I was unable to tighten the large lock nut sufficiently. With just hand tightening, the large lock nut threads would jump over the basket threads. Either the lock nut threads are oversize, or more likely, the basket threads are undersize.

Cons: poor quality. threads not formed properly.

No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
