I guess I should have read the product description more carefully. I didn't realize it was some synthetic material made in China.

While it looks nice......it's not real brick and the whole thing probably weighs about 35 pounds. I don't expect it to last long and contemplated sending it back because we live on the coast. Meanwhile, the fire bowl......which has no holes for drainage will most likely rust out in no time. My recommendation is to spend a little more and get real stone. However, if you just want something to roast a marshmallow or two, then you would probably be happy with it.

the fire pit is not good for large fires and the screen is not going to hold up very long. My husband created a new firebox made of heavy steel which we inserted into the stone casting. It looks very pretty now and we will enjoy it for years to come.

Pros: the stone looks nice

Cons: fire pit is to thin for large fire

I would recommend this to a friend!
