I was leary of purchasing this product, having used my neighbor's "string pull" pruner. However, this one turned out to be very heavy-duty and worked very well on my oak tree branches. The string on the unit is tough & almost seems like it's plastic-coated & the spring inside it works well during cutting.

I would recommend this to a friend!
