Afer 13 years, my Craftsman electric mower (which was made by Cub Cadet) died, and parts were no longer available to fix it. After checking every brand, model and review I could find on the internet, I decided on this corded Cub Cadet. After 1 season of use, I am very happy with this mower. No problems whatsoever. Maintenance consists of cleaning the underside of the deck and oiling the wheels. I got a 2" plastic putty knife to scrape off the grass accumulation on the underside of the deck without scratching off the paint, and prevent it from rusting. The plastic handle on the front of the deck keeps you from getting close to trees, walls, etc. For storage I can stand it up in the corner of my shed without worry of leaking oil or gas. For pros and cons, all I have to compare to is my old Craftsman.
Pros: made in usa, 19 inch steel deck, mulches bags or side discharge, lots of power with quiet 12 amp motor, good suction cuts evenly, fills bag completely, easy to push, minimum maintenance, no oil changes tune-ups timing belts, no fuel or fuel storage conditioner
Cons: bag is smaller than old craftsman, cutting blade is thinner & lighter than craftsman, the plastic handle on front of deck, the blade is held on by plastic bolt, no foam grips on the handle
I would recommend this to a friend!
