This is definitely not a big box store can opener. The cutting unit appears to be completely made of metal. Motor has more power, and cutting unit comes off for washing in dishwasher. At this price I won't have to buy a new consumer can opener every 2 years.
Pros: steel cutting unit.
I would recommend this to a friend!

We have thrown out many can openers but this is the best one ever and a great price too.
