Avoid - they destroy tubes.

Aug 2011 II bought four of these for my garage. Occasional use, maybe 3-4 hours/week at most. The first four ruined 10 tubes. They all got dark at one end and eventually went out. Maybe 30 hours on each tube. Returned them for four new fixtures. Same thing with a set of 8 brand-new tubes. This product has now ruined a total of 18 tubes for me. This is most likely due to defective electronic ballasts imposing a DC bias on the tubes, causing the mercury to "plate-out" at one end. Regardless, they are junk. Avoid. Get something with a magnetic ballast where this failure mode is not possible.
