Sorry to say that this phone hangs up on it self because the disconnect button is on the hand set. Oops!
Additionally, if you use the phone on the wall, the hand set slips out of the cradle when you hang up.

Thanks for your feedback about this phone. So sorry it's causing you problems, I bet it's very frustrating to have calls disrupted in the middle of conversations. Please call our Customer Service dapertment at 877-502-4641 to discuss what you can do to get a refund for this product.
Additionally, since you like corded phones that offer caller ID, try the AT&T Single-Line Corded Desk Speakerphone. It can be mounted on a wall, has caller ID features and speakerphone.
