Awfully cheap little heater. But not for the price.

This thing is junk. Sheer junk. For the price I would expect it to last at least one cold season. Alas, we've only had ours for about three months and it started giving us trouble two months in. The shield uses rivets to hold it in place. The top two rivets melted away and allowed the main silver "thing" (Sorry, my terminology for this will be bad) to disconnect from the black housing. This allowed air into the device and the stream of propane to ignite. The black housing would then become red hot within seconds. RED HOT! So I installed a few nuts and bolts to get rid of that problem. Next, the ground wire for the safety valve ether melted off or broke off. Either way, the original solder was cheaply and poorly done. I didn't have the tools to solder it back so I screwed it in place using the existing screw (Which was later replaced with a nut and bolt). The bottom two rivets gave in about three months in and were replaced with nuts and bolts.
The black housing also comes lose from its base constantly. They didn't use properly sized washers and it seems like a lock nut would have been a good idea.
After using this heater and working with it for the past few months, I see nothing more than a cheaply built device made poorly and designed to fail.
I would NOT recommend this heater.
I just noticed I could add pictures. See images for the replaced rivets and the screwed in ground wire for the safety shut off valve.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
