Customer Reviews for DAP Gallon Ready-To-Use Flexible Floor Leveler

DAP Gallon Ready-To-Use Flexible Floor Leveler

Ready-to-use, latex-based product used to fill cracks, fastener or knot holes and level low areas in plywood subfloors or concrete surfaces. The floor patch and leveler will remain flexible allowing the plywood subfloor to flex without cracking the filled-in areas. Ideal for filling and leveling surfaces prior to installation of carpeting, vinyl floor tile or sheeting, as well as ceramic or mosaic floor tile.

Easy to use - no mixing!

This product was perfect for filling in a low spot in a particleboard floor. Because particleboard swells when exposed to water-based self-leveling liquids, this latex-based product was ideal. It has this consistency of drywall mud, with no mixing required -- just open the bucket and go. It is easy to spread with a wide putty knife or trowel, feathers out well, and sets up in a few hours. Cleanup is easy with plain water. I would buy this product again, especially for patching a water-intolerant floor material.
Pros: very easy to spread and trowel, no mixing / pouring / measuring
Cons: not widely available in stores, plan ahead to order online
I would recommend this to a friend!

Not my experience at all
Posted June 19, 2014
I bought a quart to try it out. I found the consistency to be more like grout than drywall mud. Maybe I got a bad can but because of the sandy like consistency I found it very difficult to smooth out. It also seemed to dry out quickly as I applied it which made it difficult to go back over and smooth. I'm going to contact DAP and see if what it did for me is normal.
