would prefer combo of aluminum mounting with vinyl weather strip.

Due to job conditions we needed the 1-1/4" overall width which fit our needs but summer heat will cause the vinyl to disfigure due to expansion. A combination of aluminum & vinyl like your 3/4" door weather seal would be better.

I would recommend this to a friend!
