Instruction manual is in small print, diagrams are so very small you need a magnifying glass to view them. Diagrams are generic and do not apply to the model of item I purchased. Trying to reload the spool on the string trimmer has been a chore. I went to the nearest store, a 60 mile round trip. They needed to take a new trimmer out of the box to figure out how to reload the spool. When we plugged the trimmer in and tested it, it unspooled and cut up all the trimmer string we just loaded. A waste of 9 feet of trimmer string. We used 6 feet the next time, it still unspooled it all. It was determined the catch in the head was defective and worn after one season of occasional use. Not recommended.

Pros: price, had printed manual

Cons: you get what you pay for..., manual difficult to read mostly useless.

No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
